What you'll need
- Fresh Bean to Door Coffee Beans *
- Kitchen Scales (optional)
- A grinder (optional)
* Our recommended brew recipe for cafetière:
18g or 3 heaped teaspoons coffee for a standard 2 cup cafetière. 5 teaspoons for larger sizes. Stick to these proportions and you will always have a balanced cup of coffee.
Grind your beans if you have whole beans.
Place 18g or 3 heaped teaspoons of ground coffee into the Cafetière.
Pour in 250ml of water (1 inch below the top of the cafetière) just off the boil. Water temperature needs to be lower than 93C, any hotter and the natural sugars in the coffee will burn.
Set timer for four minutes.
Plunge the coffee and enjoy!
